Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities: To test and process samples in a timely manner and to standards To work within strict guidelines in our licensed laboratory To work at all times in compliance with current legislation Must be able to work using extreme aseptic technique, being acutely aware of sterility and contamination To undertake all testing and compliance analysis of samples processed to the highest standards To undertake validation and on-going assessment of processing samples To maintain and review processing procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation To maintain (and prove) an active knowledge of current legislation to ensure compliance at all times To assist in the maintenance of the company database for the use of stem cells and therapeutic applications To undertake and provide evidence of CPD in line with legal requirements and to ensure the highest standards are maintained To have a sound and up to date knowledge of stem cell technology so as to provide information in response to customer queries To overview peers work and critically assess for compliance To maintain laboratory stock levels for efficient processing of samples in accordance with workload and adjust if necessary To ensure environmental monitoring is carried out and that the highest levels of cleanliness are constantly maintained in the laboratory Qualifications and Key Skill Required: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and IT Common sense and problem solving essential Must be able to work alone in the laboratory (previous laboratory lone working ideal although not essential) Experience of aseptic technique and cleanroom working (not essential but highly desirable) Able to undertake any of  microbiology, Heamatology and clinical Biochemistry testing on samples including running control Must be trustworthy, dedicated and reliable Good level of written and spoken English Geographical proximity to laboratory premises (20 miles) Must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B before starting job (proof required) High personal, ethical and moral standards Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritise work and work on own initiative Ability and willingness to learn Team working vital Excellent time keeping In this post you will report directly to the Laboratory Manager. As a laboratory assistant at TOCS Laboratory Ghana, you will work closely with a small team of other technical and office staff, all highly dedicated to the company. You will be expected to integrate with the team. Furthermore, you will be the technical source of information and you will liaise with couriers and converse with customers and healthcare personnel. All processes and practices are thoroughly outlined and accessible in constantly updated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in electronic and paper format.

Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist

We are looking for a self-motivated, professional, reliable therapist who is passionate about helping people improve their wellbeing. In particular we are looking for a sports Therapist who is also qualified to offer Deep Tissue. Please note most of our client base require Sports and Deep Tissue massage for the treatment of injuries and other musculoskeletal issues, therefore the successful candidate must hold a degree or equivalent Qualification in Sports Therapy. We are looking for a therapist to conduct relaxing and remedial massages. This is an essential qualification for this position. We Specialise in shockwave therapy and targeted pain manipulation we would like to progress the right candidate to this. The successful candidate will need to have excellent knowledge of the body and common injuries and strive to provide high quality treatments for our existing client base as well as new clients. We are looking for a self-motivated, confident, professional, reliable therapist who has outstanding customer service skills and a friendly personality who would like to join us on a part time basis working 2 days a week and to gradually increase their days as the business grows. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve: Providing massage treatments 60 mins & 30 mins, as well as 45-minute initial assessments Carrying out full consultations with clients Treating injuries and advising clients with aftercare advice Booking & updating appointments within our booking system Cleaning the clinic in-between clients to meet Covid 19 Health & Safety Standards. Essential Qualifications: – Degree Qualification or equivalent Sports Therapy You will be treating an existing client base, offering first class therapy to our clients, and will be working in a fully furnished treatment room with everything included such as Marketing, PPE, hydraulic massage couch, oils, couch role etc.

Biomedical Scientist

We are currently looking for a Biomedical Scientist to join a private Laboratory in the Amasaman Pokuase area. As the Biomedical Scientist you will be responsible for a range of different tests including but not limited to Biochemistry, Haematology and Microbiology. This is a fantastic opportunity for Biomedical Scientist to have the opportunity to develop your career outside of the day-to-day routine testing. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Your duties as the Biomedical Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows: Running a range of test that cover Biochemistry, Haematology and Microbiology. Support the Lab Manager with maintaining lab standards ensuring you work in a clean, safe and regulated environment. Authorisation of clinical reports as well as Quality documentation. Support junior members of the Lab with training and development.   ROLE REQUIREMENTS: To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Biomedical Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history: Relevant degree in a Life Sciences discipline in addition to being HCPC registered as a Biomedical Scientist. Proven industry experience in a Government or Private Laboratory setting where you have been a Biomedical scientist in the areas of Biochemistry, Microbiology and/or Haematology. A working knowledge and practical experience with keeping good laboratory records and ensuring all regulations are adhered to.
